Animal Crossing New Horizons secures No.1 spot for third time consecutively in UK Charts

Nintendo will be happy as the momentum for Animal Cross New Horizons is still going strong and no signs of letting up. Nintendo have dominated the boxed sales this week, though they have seen some decline in percentages per title. Obviously, do take into consideration that some of the Switch games that are in the top 10 have been on sale via the eShop. The figure combined with physical would be more and would be interesting to find out. Of course we have new games incoming soon as we have reached the halfway point in January already.

February and March are looking good months for Nintendo once again. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury Feb 12th, Persona 5 Strikers for Switch and PS4 in Feb and Bravely Default 2 in Feb, and lastly Monster Hunter Rise for Switch in March.

PlayStation do have new IP Returnal coming in March. Will that prove to be a hit? It looks rather interesting as it has the Alien vibe going for me personally.

Amazon UK will take Cyberpunk 2077 returns

Talking to Amazon UK customer services. Amazon will accept returns for Cyberpunk 2077 upon software investigation.

Going from their returns policy;

It does leave the confusion which some people will want clarifying. As it states in their policy about new items should be returned unused and undamaged. Of course, players over the world didn’t know what kind of shape the PS4 or Xbox One versions will be like. Once you unseal the game and install, download and start playing. The problems obviously occur, which leads to our confusion about returning to Amazon and what their stance is.

Amazon Customer services said “If the software is defective you will need to return the item to us so this can be investigated.”

We are still waiting for response from GAME UK, as we earlier reported GAME Espana will not be offering refunds.

Devil May Cry 5 Vergil DLC to arrive on Dec 15th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC

Capcom have announced that the Vergil DLC is coming a few weeks after Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition launches on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on December 1st.

Players on the Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 will have to wait until Dec 15th.

“We mentioned this early on alongside our game announcement, but never gave you a firm date or price. Well, it’s time to change that.

Our dev team has been hard at work in getting DMC5SE ready to launch the same day as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so Vergil will be arriving on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC just a few weeks after that, on December 15th, 2020 and will cost just US$4.99 / €4.99 / £3.99.

To keep you motivated, we’ll leave you with a quick reminder that Vergil will be fully playable on Story Missions, The Void, and Bloody Palace.”

Capcom even mentioned about the Xbox Series X/S update on Ray-tracing:

“We’re excited to bring Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition to Xbox Series X|S with high frame rates up to 120 fps, enhanced 3D audio, reduced loading times, the Legendary Dark Knight difficulty, Turbo Mode and playable Vergil on both consoles.

Fans playing Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition on Xbox Series X will also experience the game in 4k resolution and with Direct X Ray Tracing. Both consoles deliver amazing next generation speed and performance, and while we are just now scratching the surface of what they can do our teams are eager to continue exploring the full capabilities of Xbox Series X|S in the future.

While ray tracing will be available as a downloadable title update on Xbox Series X, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will not support ray tracing on Xbox Series S.”
