Mario Kart Live, The Latest Information

So, we have some new information on Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, the game that has you racing an actual Mario Kart through your house from the 16th of October. First, let’s take a look at the new video:

The set contains an RC Mario Kart (either Mario or Luigi), 4 gates, 2 road signs and a cable to charge your Kart.

The game can be downloaded from the eShop, but you’ll obviously need an actual Kart to play. Up to four players can join together to race (each will need a complete set of Switch, game and Kart to do so).

As seen in the video you can create your own courses, using the gates to outline them. In-game the gates can be customised to have special features like dropping items or offering a speed boost. And tracks can have different themes, like lava or underwater.

Collecting coins helps you unlock features like course customisation options and cosmetic upgrades for your racer (in-game that is).

The Kart will respond to stuff happening in the game, for example receiving a speed boost will cause it to actually drive faster, or hitting a red shell will stop the Kart completely. Now the Kart should be able to run on all surfaces, but it may show down a bit on carpets.

How often you need to recharge the Kart depends on how fast you’re racing. The game features 4 speeds: 50cc, 100cc, 150cc and 200cc. At 150cc you should get around 90 minutes of play. This increases at lower speeds and decrease at 200cc.

New Character Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Revealed

It’s Minecraft, guys. Minecraft is collaborating with the Super Smash Bros. franchise. Check out the trailer below. Yes, even Mario was shocked.

So, Steve, Alex, Zombie and Enderman will be part of the new DLC. We’re still waiting on more information, but that’s set to follow  in another broadcast planned for the 3rd of October.

So, are you guys excited by this revelation? Let us know!

Get Ready For Your Next Adventure in the Galar Region!

After the announcement yesterday we got a ton of information in a new Pokémon Direct.  If you haven’t seen it, please take a look:

The Crown Tundra is the second area you’ll be able to visit with your expansion pass. In these frozen lands you’ll be tasked with exploring the vast, snowy reaches and the depths of a Pokémon Den. And its release is just around the corner: Thursday the 22nd of October!

In Dynamax Adventures, you’ll team up with three other Trainers to explore a Pokémon Den where Dynamax Pokémon are said to lurk.

Instead of your regular team, you and your fellow trainers will be renting Pokémon to explore the Dens with. The Dynamax Pokémon you encounter on your explorations can, of course be challenged in the familiar Max Raid Battles.

Now, if you win the battle, you’ll have the chance to catch the Pokémon, and one Trainer on the team can swap the newly caught Pokémon in for the Pokémon they had before. But if you lose a battle, you’ll be ejected from the den!

If you want to delve even deeper into the den, Endless Dynamax Adventures may be the thing for you. Endless Dynamax Adventures let you keep on going until you lose a battle.

Make your way into the depths of the Den as you seek the lurking Legendary Pokemon!

Talking about those Legendary Pokémon: every Legendary Pokémon that’s appeared in the main series of Pokémon games will be in the Crown Tundra. And you’ll be able to encounter them on your travels or during your Dynamax Adventures.

NOTE: Some Legendary Pokémon appear only in Pokémon Sword with the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass, while others appear only in Pokémon Shield with the Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass.

We also got our first look at the Galarian Star Tournament! It’ll be a Double Battle in which you’ll be able to pick a partner from among the many Trainers you’ve met throughout your adventures in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield—as well as the Expansion Pass.

Now on to an item not shown in the trailer: the Ability Patch. These are very hard to come by in the Crown Tundra, but if you have them you can change the Ability of a Pokémon to its Hidden Ability! (If it has one, of course.)

We got our first look at Galarian Slowking. And it looks amazing, and actually quite sinister as well.

Galarian Slowking, the Hexpert Pokémon, is a Poison / Psychic type and has the Ability Curious Medicine.

A Shellder bite set off a reaction between the chemicals secreted by Galarian Slowpoke’s brain and the spices inside its body, causing Slowpoke to gain the Poison type as it evolved into Galarian Slowking. The Shellder’s intelligence also skyrocketed, giving the Shellder psychic powers that put other Psychic-type Pokémon to shame.

Galarian Slowking’s signature move is Eerie Spell! This Psychic special type move not only damages the opponent, it also reduces the PP of the last move they used by 3!

The Curious Medicine Ability is new. It resets the stat changes of your ally Pokémon when it enters the battlefield.

Another talking point was the connectivity of Pokémon Go with Pokémon Home. Set to be added before the end of the year, you’ll be able to transfer Pokémon from Go to Home (not the other way round).

If you send a Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO, you’ll receive the Mythical Pokémon Melmetal as a Mystery Gift in Pokémon HOME. This is a special Melmetal that can Gigantimax! (Feeding another Melmetal Gigantimax Soup won’t give it the Gigantimax ability.)

As an additional benefit, if you send a Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to open the Mystery Box in Pokémon GO. Doing so will make the Mythical Pokémon Meltan appear on the map for a limited time.

Information obtained by serebii.net states that after you’ve transferred a Pokémon there will be cool down period. This period can be shortened by paying Pokécoins.

If you haven’t purchased this game yet and are interested, then look no further:

Starting Friday, November 6, you’ll be able to purchase a bundle pack consisting of the Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield base game as well as that game’s corresponding Expansion Pass. All included software comes preloaded on a single game card.

Now for the final bit of information: we can get Pikachu’s wearing Ash’s iconic caps on Pokémon Sword and Shield! These are being distributed by Mystery Gift. And we have two codes already:

Use these steps, along with one of the above passwords, to receive each form of Ash’s Pikachu.

  1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
  2. Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.
  3. Select Get a Mystery Gift.
  4. Select Get with Code/Password to connect to the internet.
  5. Enter your password.
  6. Watch as the gift arrives in your game. (Pokémon will appear in your party or your Pokémon Boxes.)
  7. Be sure to save your game.

And that’s it, guys! Thanks for reading. Hope you’re as excited as I am.

The Director of BALAN WONDERLAND, Yuji Naka, has given us an in-depth look at BALAN WONDERLAND, discussing some of the characters, gameplay and features we can expect.

BALAN WONDERWORLD is a new action platformer based around the wondrous Balan Theatre. You’ll be helping two young heroes adventure in the bizarre and imaginary land of Wonderworld.

There are 12 different stages and each is filled with traps, tricks and enemies. There are also over 80 customes to find, which give your character special abilaties.

You’ll meet several characters on your journet. Let’s meet our two heroes: Leo Craig and Emma Cole. Leo is 15 years old and a bit of a lone wolf. He’s always trying ot act cool. Emma is also 15 years old and quick to smile, but that’s masking her insecurity.

Other characters include Balan and Lance. Balan is your guide to the weird Wonderland. And Lance traps visitors to Wonderworld inside their own hearts, creating monsters out of their own negativity.

When you first arrive in Wonderland you’ll be at the Isle of Tims. This place serves as hub for Leo and Emma’s adventures, from which they can explore the 12 Worlds Inside Hearts.

The Isle of Tims is inhabited by creatures called: Tim. These creatures are created from the happiness felt by people in the real world.

The more people’s heart experience positive emotions, the more Tims are born. But if people’s hearts become affected by negativity, there will be fewer Tims and it would lead to the end of Happiness Time. And that would be very bad, because the end of Happiness Time means the end joyful memories and emotions…

Tims come in different colours and have their own personalities. And they can aide you on your adventure if you take them with you into the Worlds!

While exploring the 12 Worlds Inside Hearts you’ll be able to collect drops. These drops help Tims grow, change colour and acquire new attributes. For example: red Tims attack enemies, while pink Tims find items.

The 12 Worlds Inside Hearts are born from the hearts of 12 tormented inhabitants of the Wonderworld. Each filled with traps, enemies and challenges.

One of those enemies are shadowy creatures called Negati. They are the manifestations of the worry and weakness in the hearts of the inhabitant whose heart is trapped. They’ll do whatever they can to stop you from completing your journey!

You’ll also find the inhabitants themselves, who have possessed by the Negati. Use your customes and abilities to free their hearts!

And when you succeed in freeing their heart there’ll be a celebration, with a musical number!

BALAN WONDERWORLD supports local 2-player co-op. One player will take on the role of Leo, while the other plays as Emma. Working together allows you to pull off interesting maneuvres, by combining skills and opens new paths!

That was it for this in-depth look at BALAN WONDERLAND. The game is set for release on March 26, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Steam.
