Sony making chances as well.
Following an investigation by the UK’s Competition and Market Authority (CMA) concerning auto-renewal of subscriptions both Nintendo and Sony are going to change their policy in the UK. The CMA was worried people could be charged for services they’re not using.
Nintendo has changed its policy during the course of the investigation, meaning the Nintendo Switch Online Service is no longer sold with automatic renewal set as the default option. The change applies in the “Nintendo eShop and on the Nintendo website in all countries and regions that are operated by Nintendo of Europe.”.
Sony will be contacting PlayStation Plus members who haven’t used their membership for a long thing, but are still paying to remind them how to stop payments and cancel their subscription.
