Nintendo Allegedly Producing 20% Fewer Switches Due to Chip Shortage

Only 24 million units this fiscal year.

Nikkei Asia is reporting that Nintendo is projected to reduce the number of Switches it produces by 20%, due to the global chip shortage. Instead of the planned 30 million, 24 million Switches will see the light of day.

Nintendo also recently released the OLED model of the Nintendo Switch, which has seen a huge demand. The current chip shortage complicates that especially.
