Weekly News Round-up

Week 41

Hello everyone, welcome to your weekly Nintendo news round-up that I absolutely didn’t forget to do this morning. No siree!

Let’s start with the games!

Dragon Quest X (offline version) will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in February of next year. Well, in Japan. No news yet on a possible Western release.

Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series has been revealed to be the final fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The next Animal Crossing New Horizons Direct has been announced for the 15th of October and will focus on all the changes coming in November, which will include Brewster.

Rune Factory 5 is coming to the Switch in March 2022 and with it a limited edition will be released as well!

Pokémon Legends Arceus will not be an open world game, but more in the style of Monster Hunter.

With regards to hardware: this week saw the release of the OLED model of the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo issued a warning not to peel off the protective film on your OLED screen!

Also, Nintendo is continuing its with on the Joy-Cons, but admits that Joy-Con drift is here to stay.

Now, moving on to merchandise:

3 New amiibo for the Smash Bros. collection have been announced!

Also, we would like to once again bring to your attention the fact that the Metroid Dread amiibo 2-pack has been delayed in Europe to 5 November.

In other news this week:

Pokémon is coming to Universal Studios Japan, probably expanding to already present Super Nintendo World.
