Including new regional forms!
Pokémon Presents landed and with it more information on the new Pokémon games coming our way. I’ll start with Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
In the Hisui region, Stantler can evolve into Wyrdeer.
Wyrdeer is treasured by the people of this region. Clothes made from fallen tufts of its thick fur are prized for their protection against the cold.
Basculin in the Hisui region can evolve into Basculegion.
Basculegion is possessed by the souls of its kin. It fights together with these souls, which attack opponents as if with a will of their own.
When Rufflet in the Hisui region evolve, they become Hisuian Braviary.
This Pokémon uses its psychic power to weaken prey with powerful shock waves or to enter a trance that boosts its physical abilities.
This is Growlithe as it appears in the Hisui region.
They tend to be seen in pairs—apparently, they have lived apart from humans and are unused to being around people. Building trust with Hisuian Growlithe takes time.
As a member of the Galaxy Team’s Survey Corps, Professor Laventon conducts research into Pokémon’s modes of life. He aims to create a complete Pokédex.
Commander Kamado, the boss of the Galaxy Team, can be a harsh leader at times, but the team members trust him deeply and know him to be reliable.
Commander Kamado, who appears in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, is an ancestor of Professor Rowan, who appears in Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.
Captain Cyllene is the leader of the Galaxy Team’s Survey Corps. She is strict both with others and with herself, but she sees your potential and allows you to take a trial to join the Galaxy Team.
New Battle Style
Your battle begins when you throw a Poké Ball at a wild Pokémon. In past games in the Pokémon series, battles unfolded one turn at a time with one action from each Pokémon per turn. In this game each Pokémon’s Speed stat & moves will decide the battle order and actions per turn.
Pokémon can remember up to four moves at a time to use in battle and can use them in two styles: Agile Style and Strong Style. Agile Style is fast and might give you the turn advantage, while Strong Style is slower but packs a much heavier punch.
Go for big damage early with Strong Style or try to earn your next move faster with Agile Style. You can use Agile Style to weaken a Pokémon before catching it or use Strong Style to settle the battle with a final blow. It’s all in how you strategize!
We also got a glimpse of a special in-game custome that’s available as a pre-order bonus.
