Epic Games is releasing a patch for the Nintendo Switch version of Fortnite which will boost performance in both handheld and docked mode.
In handheld mode, the game will go from 1000 x 560 up to 1170 x 660, which is closer to the Switch display’s 720p resolution. In docked mode, it’ll go up to 1560 x 880 instead of topping out at 1390 x 780.
This increase in resolution (38%) will result in images that are less blurry, without loss of performance. The update also provides a more consistent framerate, with fewer hitches, resulting in a smoother experience overall.
Finally, the patch will free up 140MB on your console.
